Start the Silly Season Early!

Every year as December begins “The Silly Season” starts to kick off.  It’s a yearly madness, puttin up trees and twinkle lights, decorations getting thrown up like there’s no tomorrow, then a clam lull for a week, then it kicks off…. the festive work parties, crazy shopping, last minute buys of senseless garbage right up till late on Christmas eve, then a tranquil calm on the 25^th …… an eerie calm like phew it’s done, the only thing left to do is have  overindulgent lunches, gift swappin with the family, then rest, you can hear the people snoring after this festive tradition of overeating. But there’s one thing missing. The wee festive Dram, whether Santa brings it or you buy it yourself, you know after all the festive capers you deserve it, so it should be something nice, something Christmassy, something reminding you of Christmas Cake, maybe a little peaty, fruit punch, butterscotch or dark chocolate. When that wee Dram is poured, you nose it then sip it back, you know its Christmas. It’s a belter you know you bought the right one or if it was a gift you know your hints and suggestive buying for the past 3 months has paid off.

So "tis the season to be jolly", but remember not to jolly, sip in moderation during this merry festive season and share your great Drams with friends and family.

I will try this month to sample my 10 Drams I purchased in Hong Kong, unfortunately time does not permit for me to sip more as it’s a very busy time and I have to work, so look out for my 10 Festive Drams available in Hong Kong list, I will also have 10 festive Drams available online which will be tried some other time.
